Paris Mayday 2024
1st May 2024
As a mixture of Parisian Hashish and Trash cans fires filled the air, the first volley of the day was fired. A sharp explosion; stun grenades fired by a launcher held in the arms of French Riot police. The Black Bloc had quickly organised at the front of the protest, ahead of Union members and smaller factions, and had spread banners and flares parallel with the Police kettle. As the rest of the protest slowly progressed towards the first kettle, a black and blue blob structure moved through the crowd. Built by scaffolding poles and trolleys, the CRS notice the flammable trojan horse and cut through the crowd moving anyone in their way, pulling the edifice behind Police lines. After the first kettle dispersed, allowing more protestors towards Nation, tear gas sank from above and choked bystanders. Trade Vans cranked open by anarchists to supply them with more projectiles aimed at French Police. With every Police kettle set up, giving protestors a target for their anger, a Roman centurion style advance was mounted, shields held high and legs moving over barricades with BRAV-M units lurking in the background waiting to snatch individual protestors. A yearly Gaulish tennis match progresses fought with petrol bombs, rocks and stun grenades between Left-wing protestors and Police, vehemently paying homage to demonstrations held since May 1968.
